India Network Foundation announces grants and medical travel insurance to support researchers from India to present their research at International Conferences held in the United States.

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) July 19, 2012

Research and Travel Grants for IndiansIndia Network Foundation, a non-profit US based sponsor of health insurance in the USA, announced the INF 2012 Grant Program to support academic researchers from any field whose research has been accepted for presentation in an International Conference in the USA. Grants include medical insurance for travel while attending US based meetings or conferences during the upcoming year. The program is open to all researchers and doctoral students working or studying in India. Grants and medical travel insurance are made possible by donations from Dr. KV Rao and the India Network Foundation. Anyone can make tax-deductible contribution to the Foundation for these projects or any other project in India or in the United States.

Professor KV Rao, India Network Foundation founder commented, “India Network Foundation takes great pride in the contributions of its membership to enable financial support to help Indian scientists and their world class research to present at international conferences held in the US. We believe these conferences offer the forum to achieve the recognition they deserve.”

Researchers that are supported by their own institutions in part are given preference. Grants can be applied for travel expenses or conference expenses. Peer reviewed and accepted presentations are given preference over conferences with automatic invitations and approvals. Medical travel insurance will be awarded to each grant recipient that is underwritten by Chartis Insurance (AIG) and administered by India Network Health Insurance.

  1. Dr. Vinod K. Bhardwaj

This is really a good effort to promote research in India and to encourage young researchers to bring their work in academicians’ notice.
I have come across about this foundation today but I found its efforts most useful. I attended an international conference in USA in 2009 but I was not told by anyone about this foundation before.
Moreover the grant’s criteria is convenient and open.

    1. Support

Thanks for your interest in Foundation projects. Our goal to help genuine researchers from India in a simple and straight forward manner. We welcome proposals and as always we get more proposals than actually we can fund.
