India Network takes headache and confusion out of selecting the right health insurance plan for visitors and expatriates with pre existing conditions by launching “Instant Quote”.

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) August 15, 2012
Instant Quote for selecting Visitor Health Insurance
India Network Foundation, a non-profit US based sponsor of visitor health insurance in the USA, announced today a new version of “EasySelect”, a software program to assist members in choosing the right plan for their visiting parents. The technology tool is designed to take the complexity out of the selection process when choosing an insurance plan by showing the benefits and premiums by age group with only a few clicks. Many elderly Asian Indian parents often find it difficult to understand health insurance options available on various insurance web sites. Recent green card holders who travel to the United States with diabetes or high blood pressure or any other medical condition may be eligible for an India Network health plan with pre existing condition coverage.

Dr. KV Rao, India Network Foundation founder commented, “The new EasySelect tool is the only tool you need to understand medical insurance coverage, limits, and premiums in one easy-to-read format. We hope it helps those enrolling for the first time as well as those returning members comparing health insurance programs.”

Insurance plans in general are confusing with several pages of exclusions, and not all limitations are obvious. Today, almost all visitor health insurance plans in the market either fully or partially deny all claims related to heart problems, stroke, brain hemorrhage, etc. under one pretense or another. Diabetes and blood pressure are two prominent medical problems among Indian parents visiting the United States that require at least one visit to an emergency room.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) study indicates that the prevalence of diabetes is about 8.3% with vast differences by rural/urban, age, and socio-economic status in India. About 62.4 million adults in India are diagnosed with diabetes as of 2011. Yet, insurance companies are shy of providing any coverage for pre existing condition related illnesses.

India Network Foundation has confirmed its commitment to pre-existing medical insurance through its recent expansion of insurance coverage formally introduced three years ago. Currently, India Network Health Insurance provides $60,000 coverage for pre existing condition related issues. The new tool “EasySelect” will help in highlighting the coverage, limitations, deductibles, and premiums in an organized tabular format to make an intelligent decision for visitors of all ages. Recent immigrants that wish guidance in selecting health insurance with pre-existing condition coverage may contact India Network at 877-204-0222.

India Network Foundation establishes Office of Immigration Network to help US citizens and temporary residents understand available pre existing condition health insurance plans.

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) July 11, 2012

India Network Foundation, a non-profit US based sponsor of visitor health insurance in the USA, announced the formation of the Office of Immigration Network to assist recently immigrated elderly Asian Indian parents obtain health insurance with pre existing conditions. US citizens or legal residents previously given a denial of coverage due to pre existing conditions now have access to coverage via a Federal program. Retired immigrants with diabetes or high blood pressure or any other medical condition that do not yet qualify for US citizenship may be eligible for limited pre existing condition coverage from India Network Health Insurance.
Immigration answers for pre existing condition coverage

Professor KV Rao, India Network Foundation founder commented, “In creating the Office of Immigration Network, we intend to provide a clearer understanding of pre existing condition coverage choices for elderly Indian parents in response to increasing questions from our membership.”

US citizens or residents diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure and other heart conditions are denied coverage by major insurance companies such as AETNA, United Healthcare, Assurant or Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Immigrants who came later in their life to the USA to join their children, likewise, face a denial of coverage.

The Affordable Health Care for America Act of 2010, i.e., ObamaCare, provides those US citizens and legal residents with pre-existing medical conditions to enroll in Federal health insurance plan. There are several conditions to meet eligibility requirements with the federal plan:

  • United States citizenship or reside here legally
  • Must be without health coverage for at least the last six months before applying
  • Must have a pre-existing condition or have been denied coverage because of a health condition

The Office of Immigration Network staff will assist individuals to identify the appropriate pre existing condition coverage available for their specific circumstances. If eligible for the Federal plan, the office will assist in completing the application process. India Network can help evaluate the denial of coverage and issue a letter if found eligible in support of an application.

The Federal insurance plan premiums are established by age, not by medical conditions of the individual enrollee and will vary by state. For example, the premium for a 50 year old is $428 per month with $2,500 out of pocket maximum per year in California. In comparison, visiting parents age 50-59 have access to pre existing condition emergency coverage from $186 per month with the Comprehensive Coverage from India Network Health Insurance.

Professor KV Rao added, “The pre existing condition coverage from India Network is significantly less expensive for individuals age 50 and older in comparison to the Federal pre existing coverage plan. With the growing membership and enrollment, we fully expect to maintain the highest level of benefits possible for temporary residents from all countries.”

Recent immigrants that wish guidance in selecting health insurance with pre existing condition coverage may contact India Network at 877-204-0222.

ObamaCare Mandate May Increase Travel Medical Insurance Requirement for Non US Citizens

Supreme Court ruling that upholds individual mandate for health insurance may increase verification of visitor medical insurance for non US citizens visiting the USA.

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) June 29, 2012

India Network Foundation, a non-profit US based sponsor of health insurance in the USA, expects the Supreme Court ruling that upholds the individual mandate of the Affordable Care Act, to increase the medical insurance requirements for temporary visitors to the USA. Professor KV Rao, India Network Foundation founder commented, “The health insurance mandate for US citizens may likely apply to non US citizens visiting the USA for extended stays.”

Since 1988, India Network Foundation has sponsored health plans for tourists, temporary workers and students visiting outside their home country. As a response to the increasing need for medical coverage for emergencies related to pre existing conditions, India Network introduced Comprehensive Visitor Health Insurance with Pre Existing Condition Coverage in February 2012.

Dr. KV Rao, reflecting on the Supreme Court landmark decision, added “The health care law addresses a major issue of coverage for people with pre existing conditions for US citizens. It is expected that visitors coming to the United States starting from 2013 may be required to show proof of health insurance coverage from US based health insurance providers before they will be admitted to satisfy compliance with the health care legislation.”
